Michigan Deli Athletes of the Week: Siena Severini and Benny

Siena Severini and Benny Iacovo have been named this week's Athletes of the Week by Kenilworth Coaches, recognizing their dedication to sports and community.

Siena is an upcoming second grader at Harding Elementary School who has been playing travel softball for the past two seasons. She began soccer when she was three years old and will be joining the girls travel soccer team this fall. Siena has also been doing gymnastics for four years and completed two years of flag cheerleading. Her best sports memory was making the game winning out to win her last softball tournament game. Outside of sports, Siena enjoys acting, musical theater, dance, Girl Scouts, swimming, and riding her bike. Her favorite subject at school is art.

Benny is a sixth grader this fall at David Brearley Middle School who has played baseball with the Kenilworth Little League since he was four years old. He has played basketball for the recreation team for the last two years and has been an avid runner for five years. Benny ran for Newark Benfica and will be joining the middle school track team at Brearley this spring. He earned his black belt from Twin Kicks, a karate school in town. Benny's best sports memory was when his 11U baseball team made it to the championship this year, though they lost. His favorite subject at school is math.

The Athletes of the Week will each receive a burger, fries, and a soft drink, courtesy of Michigan Deli, located at 219 Market Street in Kenilworth.
