Berkeley Heights Annual Pancake Breakfast Gets a Halloween Twist

Maria Torres · Union County Life

Union County Life is previewing the Berkeley Heights Rotary Club’s annual Pancake Breakfast. It takes place Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to noon at Mount Carmel Hall, 56 River Road in Berkeley Heights. This year the breakfast falls on Halloween, and the club is adding costume fun.

Guests of all ages are encouraged to come in costume. Prizes will go to the Best Individual Costume and the Best Family Costume. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Guests can come dressed as a superhero, a ghost, a witch, or a favorite character.

The menu includes pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee, and tea. The suggested donation is $10 per person or $25 per family.

Mike Higgins, the breakfast chair, said, “This event is always a great way to bring our community together while supporting important causes. With the breakfast falling on Halloween this year, we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to add some extra fun. We hope families will come in costume, enjoy breakfast together, and help us kick off Halloween in Berkeley Heights.”

The breakfast is the club’s fall fundraiser. Proceeds support local projects, scholarships, and community initiatives. The Rotary Club is a group of community leaders, professionals, and volunteers that promotes goodwill, builds connections, and supports charitable causes. New members are welcome.
