Cranford Day 2026 Community Center Event
Maria Torres · Union County Life
Cranford Day 2026 will be held Sunday, Nov. 1, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Cranford Community Center on Walnut Avenue. Union County Life is sharing details of the free event, a special edition that celebrates 250 years of America and 155 years of Cranford.
The town’s announcement, posted Oct. 19, says the event is organized by the Cranford 250 Revolution NJ Committee. The showcase features Cranford organizations and special displays. This year’s event moves indoors to the Community Center. In 2021, Cranford Day returned in a more modest form, held in the parking lot by the gazebo at North Union and Springfield avenues.
Cranford Day began in the late 1940s and was held annually until the early 1950s, when it became Cranford Days. Those celebrations continued until the early 1960s, and the town describes them as big, elaborate events with store sales, open houses, school dances, and strong community spirit. Cranford Day was resurrected in 2021 after an approximate 58 year absence.
Organizations that want to take part in Cranford Day 2026 can contact the committee’s co-chairs. Contact details are listed in the town’s announcement.
