This year, his favorite course is AP Physics 2, taught by Mrs. Skirde.
“My favorite class this year has been AP Physics 2 because the curriculum is interesting and challenging,” Justin said. “I also really like my teacher, Mrs. Skirde, who somehow makes a subject as hard as physics fun and interesting.”
Justin’s contributions to ALJ athletics span all four years of high school. As a four-year member of the golf team, he progressed from junior varsity to varsity competition and earned a varsity letter. He has also played basketball throughout high school and will continue competing during his senior year as a power forward. His dedication contributed to Johnson’s Valley Division Championship.
Beyond athletics and academics, Justin holds memberships in multiple honor societies: the National Honor Society (NHS), Math Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society (SHS), English Honor Society (EHS), and Science National Honor Society (SNHS). Through these organizations and individual volunteer efforts, Justin dedicates considerable time to community service. His involvement ranges from literacy nights at the local library to Key Club Fall Rally participation. He has also been instrumental in organizing and setting up Clark Recreation’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Justin identifies school spirit and friendships as his favorite aspects of ALJ. Outside the classroom and athletic fields, he enjoys video games and watching football with friends.
Looking ahead, Justin hopes to attend Princeton University and pursue a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
