Scotch Plains Fourth Quarter Property Tax Deadlines
Maria Torres · Union County Life
Union County Life is reporting that the Scotch Plains Tax Collector’s office has issued a reminder that fourth quarter property taxes are due Nov. 1. Payments made by Nov. 10 are accepted without penalty.
Residents can pay online through the township’s payment portal at edmundsgovpay.com/scotchplains. The portal lets residents view their account, make a one-time payment, or sign up for AutoPay. Taxpayers may also pay through their bank’s BillPay service, using the correct tax account number.
A dropbox that is available 24 hours a day accepts payments in the Police Department. Payments may be mailed, but the office reminds taxpayers that postmarks are not accepted. Residents who prefer to pay in person can visit the municipal building at 430 Park Avenue from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
AutoPay sign-up for fourth quarter taxes closes Oct. 25. Enrolled participants will receive an email confirming that a payment has been scheduled one week before each debit date.
Residents with questions can call the Tax Collector’s office at (908) 322-6700, extension 207 or 208, or email taxcollector@scotchplainsnj.com.
