According to Scotch Plains-Fanwood Public Schools' announcement on October 15, 2026, and the show's ticket page, checked on October 21, 2026.
Sword fights, schemes and comedy are coming to the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School stage next month.
The SPFHS Repertory Theatre presents Ken Ludwig's The Three Musketeers, based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas, on Friday, Nov. 20, and Saturday, Nov. 21, in Scotch Plains. Union County Life confirmed the details in the school district's Oct. 15 announcement and on the show's ticket page.
The story is set in France in 1625. Young D'Artagnan travels to Paris hoping to join the Musketeers Athos, Porthos and Aramis, with his sister Sabine at his side. They are pulled into a plot involving the Queen of France, Cardinal Richelieu and Milady de Winter.
Stage combat is at the center of the show. Student actors take on choreographed sword fights, brawls and physical comedy. More than 75 students are part of the cast and crew, and the district says the play suits audiences of all ages.
Morgan Knight directs, and Kelly Ruggieri produces. The team also includes set designer Joseph Napolitano, technical director Evan Perrotta, lighting designer Gracie Heath, costume designer Joanne Sprague and production manager Gabrielle Moorman.
Performances are Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Manya Ungar Memorial Auditorium at the high school, 667 Westfield Road. The ticket page lists a run time of about two hours, with a 15 minute intermission.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $16 for students and seniors, according to the district, sold online through spfhsrep.com. The ticket site lists adult and student options and adds a $1.50 fee per ticket. Ticket questions go to Jourdan Spencer at SPFHSPlayTickets@gmail.com or (201) 314-1451.
Accessible seating is available, and patrons who need it should contact Spencer in advance. Accessible parking is near Door 1, first come, first served, for vehicles with official placards or plates. The district does not say whether tickets will be sold at the door.
The repertory theatre's spring musical, Something Rotten, is listed for March 11 to 14. Find more Scotch Plains events, businesses, and local news on Union County Life.
