Plainfield property taxes are collected by the Tax Collector's Office.

- Plainfield property tax payments are due February 1, 2026, May 1, 2026, August 1, 2026 and November 1, 2026.
- Interest
- 8% on the first $1,500.00; 18% on everything over $1,500.00. Interest is charged back to the original due date.

- 2% processing fee for debit or credit card payments

- Online e-check (free) or debit/credit (2%); mail check payable to City of Plainfield; in person / drop box check or money order only.
