Tamaques Park Concept Design Feedback
UCL Civic Desk · Union County Life
Westfield is working on a major redesign of Tamaques Park, and the town wants to hear from the people who use it. Planning firm Dresdner Robin began the project in late 2024 and has been meeting with community groups, sports leagues, neighborhood residents, and senior citizen organizations to understand how the park is used and what improvements residents want to see.
Earlier in the process, residents had the chance to complete an online survey about their park habits and wishes for the future. The project team also held public presentations before the Recreation Commission and Town Council in early 2026 to share concept design alternatives and gather feedback through an online form.
The goal is for all of that community input to shape a final park design that reflects what Westfield residents actually need. The final plan will include recommendations for phasing the work, along with short and long term maintenance needs and cost estimates.
The final design is expected to be ready in mid to late 2026 and will be presented publicly before the Recreation Commission and Town Council. Residents who want to stay informed or share their thoughts can visit tamaques-dresdnerrobin.hub.arcgis.com for project updates and information.
