Approximately 1,205 customers and residents in Plainfield are without power following the severe thunderstorm. PSE&G has set a restoration goal of nearly all customers by tonight, no later than 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Additional crews from across New Jersey have been deployed to assist with power restoration efforts throughout Union County. PSE&G crews are working to clear debris from downed power lines and restore service.

Union County Life is providing this utility outage update for Plainfield residents. Residents without power should check with PSE&G for outage status updates and estimated restoration times. For downed power lines or hazardous conditions, contact PSE&G or report to emergency services.
