Location and Background

The restaurant is located at 321 South Avenue West, in the space formerly occupied by Splash of Thai. Owners Debbie Kamsiri and Noom Temkasarp bring substantial restaurant experience to their third location, with operations also in Flemington and Branchburg.

Kamsiri and Temkasarp were introduced to Westfield by the owner of Splash of Thai when he was relocating. The connection led to discovery and affection for the area. "We came here a few times. We kind of fell in love with the area," Kamsiri said. "It's a beautiful town and we hope to stay long."

Culinary Philosophy and Legacy

Kamsiri's culinary journey is deeply personal. She strives to honor the memory of her late husband, a chef who learned to cook by his mother's side and died approximately five years ago. "Now that he's gone, I want to keep his legacy alive, his recipes," she said.

The partnership leverages each owner's strengths. Kamsiri emphasized Temkasarp's management skills. "Noom is great with restaurants, managing the front. He's very good with people," she said.

Menu and Approach

Thai Society features menu items including drunken noodles, masaman avocado chicken curry, duck salad, butterfly pea flower lemonade, and Thai iced tea. According to Kamsiri, the restaurant uses authentic, premium ingredients and home recipes passed down through family traditions.

"I think people can taste the difference," Kamsiri said, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to quality and authenticity in every dish.
