UC Says Clark Reservoir Improvement Project Remains on Schedule

Union County recently provided updates regarding the Clark Reservoir Improvement Project. The project remains generally on schedule, with more than 90,000 cubic yards of sediment estimated to have been removed to date.
Approximately 155,000 cubic yards will be removed from the three water bodies included in the dredging operation. Dredging of Center Lake is approximately 90 percent complete and is expected to be finished shortly after Labor Day, weather permitting.
Current work also includes sediment removal and hauling, along with the installation of foundations for the walking trail bridges.
Weather continues to have the greatest potential impact on the schedule. Heavy rainfall can quickly refill the reservoir, requiring dredging to pause while water levels recede and the work area dries. At this time, the County has reported no scheduled delays.
