Robert Hargrove · Union County Life
According to the Borough of Fanwood's announcement.
Fourth quarter property taxes in Fanwood are due Nov. 1. The final day to pay without a penalty is Nov. 10.
The reminder comes from the borough's Tax Collector. It lists five ways to pay: online, through a bank's BillPay service, at a dropbox, by mail or in person.
Residents can pay online through the borough's payment portal at edmundsgovpay.com/fanwood. Taxpayers can view their account there, make a single payment or sign up for AutoPay. AutoPay users get an email confirming that a payment has been scheduled one week before the debit date each quarter.
Taxpayers can also pay through their bank's BillPay service, using the correct tax account number. A dropbox is located by the entrance to Fanwood Borough Hall.
Mailed payments go to Borough of Fanwood Tax Collector, 75 North Martine Avenue, Fanwood NJ 07023. The borough reminds residents that postmarks are not accepted. In person payments are taken at the Scotch Plains Municipal Building, 430 Park Avenue, Scotch Plains, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The reminder does not say what penalty or interest applies after Nov. 10, or whether the online portal charges a convenience fee. It also does not give dropbox access hours, tax amounts or rates, or any in person hours beyond the weekday schedule.
For questions, call the Tax Collector's office at (908) 322-8236 Ext. 126 or 122, or email taxcollector@fanwoodnj.org. Fanwood Borough Hall, at 75 North Martine Ave., is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
