Union County Holiday Skate With Santa Set for Warinanco in Roselle

Ice skating, hot chocolate and a visit with Santa Claus are on the schedule for Sunday, Dec. 6, when Union County holds its annual holiday celebration, Celebrate the Season.
The event takes place at Warinanco Sports Center, 1 Park Drive in Warinanco Park in Roselle, off St. Georges Avenue. There are three sessions, each two hours long: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1:45 to 3:45 p.m., and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The Union County Board of County Commissioners is hosting the day with the Union County Department of Parks and Recreation. The county calls it an annual holiday celebration.
Admission is $8 per person and covers one session, skate rental, hot chocolate and cookies. Children under 2 are admitted free. Tickets will not be sold at the door, so plan to buy tickets on the Warinanco Park website ahead of time. Everyone entering the building needs a ticket, whether or not they skate.
"Celebrate the Season brings families and friends together for the simple joys that make this time of year special," said Union County Commissioner Chairman Joseph C. Bodek. "Whether you're joining us on the ice or bringing the little ones to see Santa, we invite you to spend a day making holiday memories right here in Union County."
