The Linden Police Department and the Department of Parks and Recreation are partnering to host a community self defense class on Thursday, October 8.
The event will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the John T. Gregorio Center, located at 330 Helen Street in Linden. As reported by Union County Life, officers designed the session to provide local adults and seniors with practical physical safety techniques.
Instructors will guide participants through basic awareness strategies and light physical movements to build confidence and personal security. Program organizers noted that participants should be able to engage in light physical activity such as standing or basic body movements. Seniors facing mobility challenges are also welcome to attend as spectators.
