Clark Schools Host Healthy Habits Talk and Preschool Curriculum Night
Maria Torres · Union County Life
According to the Clark Public School District's announcement.
Parents in Clark can spend one evening this fall learning how to help their children stay healthy and how preschoolers learn in the classroom.
The Clark Public School District will host two events on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Arthur L. Johnson High School. "Healthy Habits, Happy Kids" starts at 6 p.m. in Room 11. Preschool Curriculum Night follows at 7 p.m. in the ALJ Instructional Media Center.
The health talk is part of the district's Parent University program. Preschool Curriculum Night is sponsored by the Clark Early Childhood Advisory Council.
Cassandra Colaizzi, health educator for the Clark Health Department, will join Supervisor of Nursing/Wellness Lori Kowalski and Hehnly physical education teacher Meghan Santina for the 6 p.m. session. They will lead a discussion on keeping children healthy and share tips to encourage kids to make healthy choices.
At Preschool Curriculum Night, preschool staff will explain the Tools of the Mind curriculum. Parents can explore the skills and strategies their children are learning in school and how to best support them at home.
Both events are open to all parents with children attending the Clark Public Schools. To register, use the QR codes on the district's flyers or email cbroski@clarkschools.org.
The announcement does not list end times, a street address for the high school, a cost, a registration deadline, or whether children may attend.
