Students wore team jerseys, superhero apparel, cozy pajamas, sweatpants and Roosevelt spirit wear during the week. The school did not say which outfit went with which day.
Throughout the week, students learned about positive character traits, teamwork and kindness, according to Rahway Public Schools.
The school's flyer for the week asked students to be kind, be safe and be respectful. It also highlighted four words: kindness, friendship, empathy and teamwork.
School Counselor Lori Poulos said the week was a success, according to the school's post. The post says it reinforced the importance of being "a buddy rather than a bully" and helped students build a supportive, respectful school culture that carries on all year.
